wakeboarder141 40 Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 My TV library is all of the sudden taking several days each time a library scan is initiated. This is not a new library and it would only be finding one or two new items so I see no reason for the added time unless something is wrong. It also seems to be only the TV library that has an issue. I will attach the server log. Thank you. embyserver.txt
Happy2Play 9781 Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Can't say what is wrong but this midnight rollover log only has what looks like a loop to TVDB for two shows 4723237 and 4946082 (over 200 thousand times) and what looks to be trying to do a server backup but what ever tasks kicked off would be in previous log but have no ideas for the loop on said shows.

Do I need to grab a different log?
Happy2Play 9781 Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Dev may have to comment as there is really nothing in that large log but what I mentioned. I would enable debug logging from the Logs-Settings page and restart Emby and see if the same thing happens.
Luke 42079 Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Hi, please try removing these plugins: Playback Reporting 2.1.0.5 Statistics 3.3.1.1 TMDB People Fix 1.0.0.140 Then restart the server and see how things compare.

The scans are now taking just over 2 hours. Still extremely long compared to the few minutes these cursory scans used to take. Here is the current log file. embyserver.txt
Solution Luke 42079 Posted September 30, 2024 Solution Posted September 30, 2024 OK I've pushed an update to the tvdb plugin. Let's see if that helps with your scan times. Thanks. 1

Is there any chance my logs would indicate why, or should I open a new thread for that? Thanks. 1

HI, we'd have to look at a specific example. Thanks.

I noticed some repeated requests for the same thing in his log. 1
