jserv 0 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Hello all, I was organising my film library today, adding some thumbnail images, identifying files, etc., when I noticed I couldn't delete a duplicate version of a film since the file was already being used by another program. I couldn't find the program using the file, so I reset my computer. On booting up again, the Emby library now can't make it past the splash screen. I've gone through three other threads about this and tried some solutions posted there, e.g. removing users.db and disabling my browser AdBlocker, but these made no difference. Restarting the server also makes no difference. The logs are attached. embyserver.txt

Solution pwhodges 2012 Posted September 22, 2024 Solution Posted September 22, 2024 The issue is concerned with networking; in the log is the message: "Error PortMapper: Error getting nat device info from 192.168.0.15" I'm not that familiar with the Emby internals, so can't give a direct answer, but the first thing I'd check is whether the computer has changed its IP address during the reboot. If you had configured the local address in the Networking manually, this could now be wrong, so causing an problem. In this case you might need to edit (in the Emby folder) \programdata\config\system.xml to update the network values contained there. Paul
jserv 0 Posted September 23, 2024 Author Posted September 23, 2024 Thank you, this was the solution. I run Emby from an older laptop and use a WiFi adapter to connect to a 5G network. Disconnecting the adapter allowed me to see the library again. As a separate issue: I'd be interested to know if this means that Emby still somehow runs from a 2.4GHz connection, despite my use of the adapter.
