CheshireKitten 1 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 The names for files do not seem to make files match automatically themselves. Is that supposed to be the case? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I went to the naming guide and it says to name items like this but it is not working for me. I just switched from Plex and using Filebot to rename my files as there are so many it's easier to rename everything rather than find what is not matched. I had more data on the end of my files but it has not been working.

If using the dash method anything following the dash will be what you see in the Emby client app. Notice how you have ProviderIds in the folder names that are mising in media file names. Rename either the folder or the files, scan media library. Edited September 22, 2024 by GrimReaper 1
CheshireKitten 1 Posted September 22, 2024 Author Posted September 22, 2024 Wow that is very specific and nothing like plex but it worked and is actually forcing me to organize my media like I want. I should have tried that solution sooner haha. Thank you GrimReaper and Luke! 1
Happy2Play 9781 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Note if you do not want to rename everything you can use the community plugin also. 1
CheshireKitten 1 Posted October 1, 2024 Author Posted October 1, 2024 I forgot I technically had a topic on naming items and them matching in some way on Emby. I created this as I am having issues and am naming them correctly to my knowledge and it is not fixing it. Thank you
