dprovencher 1 Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Hello, this was working as expected before, but now all the sorttitles have been reset to default (same as title) and won't take what's in the nfo files. Regular scan, Meta refresh with replace all, nothing works. I recently switched containers (mp4 to mkv) and did a library scan following this change, don't know if the sorttitle bug happenned before or after or if it's relevant at all. Is there something I can do to force Emby to read the sorttitle from nfos? Thank you,
Luke 42079 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Hi there, can you please provide a specific example? thanks !
dprovencher 1 Posted September 10, 2024 Author Posted September 10, 2024 Not sure what you need exactly, but here is an nfo (attached) and what I see : Thank you, L'Académie de M. Kleks (2024).nfo
dprovencher 1 Posted September 10, 2024 Author Posted September 10, 2024 I got it to work I "updated" all my nfos with some random thing and then reverted the change so the nfos were rewritten, library scan and somehow emby picked it up. Maybe the container change triggered something relating to the sorttitle and since the nfos were not changed emby did not process them? In my opinion if I "replace all metadata" emby should re-read nfos enven though the modified did not change. Thank you,

No because then you are not replacing anything, you are just re-importing. That's not the purpose of the function. If you edit an nfo file and want Emby to pick up the changes, then all you need is a normal library scan. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
dprovencher 1 Posted September 11, 2024 Author Posted September 11, 2024 It helps to know that now. tinyMM lets me easily make bulk changes to nfos. Anyway I won't be changing containers again so it should be good now. Thanks for the input Luke! 1
