My overall library is english, but I have some foreign movies and TV shows for which I'd like the metadata to use the native language for example French or Spanish, how can I change the metadata from english to French/Spanish/Japanese to achieve this?

Select Edit Metadata on any given show or movie and scroll down to the bottom an apply  the lanaguage you wish for that media, hit save and refresh metadata on the media.

Edit Metadata of desired item>scroll all the way down>select desired language under Preferred metadata download language>Save>three-dot menu Refresh Metadata with Replace all.

OK it seems to work only 80% of the time as sometimes it just does not want to change the description, interesting here.....

Also, is there a way to use the file embedded metadata instead since it would solve my issue here....

Need specific example and enabled providers on library as it depend on said providers.

Would have to test as I don't know priority of if as I believe file is read first and how online metadata can override.

Or dev many need to provide the technical answer for embedded metadata usage.

HI, what embedded metadata exactly? That is already supported.

The metadata embedded in the mp4 file.

I want to use the one in the file and not the one discovered by the server....and want to do this on a movie or a TV show basis. Seems like both of us were unable to find this option here,

Hi @aberthilwhat was the solution?

Basically, go to metadata, change the language and country to another one, let's say French and France, then identify the movie/show again and ask to refresh all metadata and images, and this should do the trick here.....

My bigger issue now is the bug in the ATV player... Also there is a bug in the episode parser when parsing an apple itunes/tv app library, it is very random and for sure stop working after 99 episodes....

Hi, can we please look at a specific example?

Thanks !

I created one for the ATV issue, still waiting for anyone to come back to me, there is no screenshot since video is frozen, no logs and I have the latest versions installed, this is the case with all movies as described, I would expect that you can reproduce it and see what happens here...

For the parsing, I did not do but will shortly...

Ok you go to edit metadata at the bottom change language and country and then save. After that update all medata. Should work. If not just identify the media again...
