Default Sort order for Folder View

Is there a way to set the default sort order for folder view? It looks like any nested folder inherit the settings of the parent. Also, if a folder sort order is set, is that per stored per device or per user?

Is there a feature request page where we could vote for this? Having to manually set the sort on every folder is tedious.
