I have a library of exercise videos that I don't want to be included in the home screen backdrops or in the "More like this" suggestions. Is there any way to do that?

In settings under "Home screen" I think you will find the options you need.

You mean the Display in secondary home screen sections such as latest media and continue watching checkbox for each library? I assumed since it's in the home screen preferences and explicitly calls out that it's for home screen sections that it at least wouldn't apply to the More like this list that shows on the details page for a given movie/show. I have set that option now for the library in question, though I can't categorically say it's having the desired effect as there are too many items in my server to manually test every page where I don't want to see them. I will add to my request, though, that I would like the setting to go both ways, in that I don't want to see my movies and TV shows recommended in the More Like This section of the fitness video library items any more than the reverse.

Hi, did you set these up as a movies library?

Yes, because even though the format more closely resembles a TV Show library, there's more matching metadata in TMDB than TVDB.

But I do see home screen backdrops from both Movie and TV Show libraries, as well as mixing both movies and TV shows in the More Like This lists of both types of libraries. I assumed it was intended.

After having the Display in secondary ... setting disabled for the exercise video library I confirm I am still seeing the backdrops from it on the home screen.

Then turn off "backdrops." Problem solved.
I do not think if backdrops are turned on there is a way to exclude a particular library from supplying backdrops if what I suggested does not work. It might need a feature request to get that to happen but, since I do not really care which backdrops I have as background as I, as I have said before, do not watch the interface. I watch content.

You can roll the dice and make a feature request and, if the Emby gods smile on you, you might see it implemented at some nebulas future time.

But I want backdrops on the home screen, just not the ones from that one library, so problem not solved. Right now it seems to be backdrops on the home screen from all libraries or from none.

I was expecting it would need to be a feature request but I'll wait for Luke's reply to my answer on the library type first.

I don't think there is any options to exclude backdrops from any library from appearing when you have "enable backdrops" enabled.  As the Home Screen is more of global view and not restricted to library parentids.

But a dev would have to confirm this.

Correct. I think it makes sense to add more options to control this though.
