PixelWizard 7 Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 (edited) I have upgraded my two Emby servers to the latest available beta version 29. The problem I have now is that it does not allow me to have both in the Emby application. When I make the connection to one and then the second, the first one disappears from the list. If I add the first server again, the second one disappears. I have tried to do it through the URL I use and also with the local IPs and it happens both times. with the stable version I could have all the Emby servers I wanted in the server list, but here I can't. Luke 42077 Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 @est3ban129 is the server address the same for both?
Solution darkassassin07 652 Posted August 23, 2024 Solution Posted August 23, 2024 (edited) Ensure the contents of <emby data directory>/data/device.txt is not identical between the two servers. (this usually happens when copying one server to create a second one). If they are identical, delete one of them (doesn't matter which), and restart the corresponding server. Same local network but not same address I mean, is not same domain, not same proxy, not same name. Before not happen but in last beta yes. With Stable works fine. 1 server have 192.168.4.133 and another have 192.168.4.134. from internet domain is embyXX.domain.net and emby XY.domain.net

Maybe there is a problem, i used for clone servers
Happy2Play 9780 Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Yes cloning a server will create issues with both servers having the same serverid listed in the device.txt. One reason the Back and Restore plugin asks if you want to restore serverid. 1
