Can't connect devices (iOS + Android TV) to Emby Server

Hello,

I recently installed my Emby Server, but I'm having trouble connecting my external iOS and Android TV devices to it.

When I try to connect my iPhone to the server, I get an error saying that the Emby server needs to be updated.

However, I'm currently running the latest version, 4.8.8.0.

When I attempt to connect my Nvidia Shield, I get an error stating that my server is unavailable—please excuse the messy living room in the screenshot. ;)

I've also created a rule to open port 80 in my Windows Firewall, no VPN is running, and my devices are on the same WiFi network.

I've attached my Emby log for your reference. Thanks in advance for your help!

It is not listening on port 80 it's listening on 8096. You should remove the screenshot with your WAN address, but in that same screenshot it's not listing your LAN address which is strange. It should be 192.168.4.67 based on your log, is that set static or provided with DHCP?

Thanks, Lessaj! Unfortunately, I’m unable to delete the screenshot with my LAN address.

I’ve also updated the port to 8096, but still no luck.

I’m not sure how the LAN address became the default. When I set up the server, I connected Emby to my external drive over my network, which has a different IP than 192.168.4.67. Not sure if that’s related.

Maybe something to do with the NordLynx Tunnel, but with the dashboard not showing LAN will be an issue.

Lessaj! I found the answer. I had Jellyfin installed on my PC, and I uninstalled it. Now, I'm getting the LAN address and access to my server. Thanks for the help!

I will assume both were running on port 8096.  Each instance needs to be configured on their own port if you are running more than one server.  Since Jellyfin is a fork of Emby the default ports remain the same.
