podonnell 47 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Hi, I've noticed that at least daily, typically no more than 2-3 times, I get a quick flash on my screen when playing videos. This does not happen on other inputs, my TV home screen, or otherwise. Also, when I rewind the content, the flash does not occur. I thought it to be a TV issue but as mentioned, it has yet to appear outside of Emby. I searched but did not find any other results on this. I am using an LG G3 TV. This is a tough issue to troubleshoot as it occurs very infrequently, but it is quite immersion breaking when it does. Any ideas what I can do to track down what might be causing this?
Luke 42079 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
Solution Happy2Play 9781 Posted August 7, 2024 Solution Posted August 7, 2024 Will guess this should be in the LG section. But could this be auto frame rate switching?

Good thought -- however this occurs after a title has been playing for many minutes. Would frame rate switching possibly occur within the same title? I will also post an example as soon as I have my next occurrence that I notice. Edited August 8, 2024 by podonnell

If that's what you're asking about then I'm not sure the answer to your question. Any frame rate switching is handled automatically by the TV and not the app.
podonnell 47 Posted August 14, 2024 Author Posted August 14, 2024 I've recently switched to Android so I'm going to close this out and re-open with proper information and a log if/when I next see this occur. Thank you. 1
