video thumbnails

Hello,
I have a question regarding my media libraries. In these, there are video thumbnails.
I would like to know if these thumbnails correspond to Trickplay (i.e., the images that appear when you fast-forward through the video on mobile, etc.).

Questions:
1. Are these thumbnails actually the Trickplay feature?
2. Or is it something completely different?

Yes they are.  They are 10 second interval images that display in UI when fast forward or drag mouse across progress bar in the UI.
