leshkraven 2 Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 (edited) Hi I am trying to setup my remote server to theatre like I had before but it isnt connecting. I recently changed to a large drive storage, I tried to add new server but it wont connect. I have tried various ways of adding both LAN and WAN addresses with the two port options that I retrieved from the browser ver of emby which I am able to access. I then used the details from the dashboard screen which I copied to the theatre manual setup screen. I remember this worked fine before but now it wont connect. I reinstalled emby theatre for WIN but didnt work Edited July 29, 2024 by leshkraven changed screenshot

Shanefalk 9 Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 (edited) I run a similar setup and found that offloading some media storage works great with nextcloud providers, especially if you want to avoid hosting everything on your main server. Just mount the storage remotely and let Emby scan from there. Speeds vary depending on the provider, but for large libraries it’s been fine as long as the connection is stable. Make sure your rclone setup is solid if you’re syncing that way. Edited November 6, 2025 by Shanefalk
