djon 16 Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 After upgrading to 4.8.7, media_cleaner.py no longer works. It just says there are no watched items. Also I have an older Kodi 18 client with Embicon where I now have to re-enter the user/password every time I want to log on to Emby. I have a new Kodi client as well that works fine. Did 4.8 change some login/user/api stuff that could have caused these issues?
Luke 42080 Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Hi, yea it’s possible those things need adjustment. Are you able to update Emby for kodi?

I need to look into it, as my Odroid C2 can't get a newer version of coreelec/Kodi. Do you know of other working scripts than media_cleaner.py that can remove and delete watched items?
Happy2Play 9781 Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Think this one does the same thing Looks like there is a forked repo for media_cleaner
Solution djon 16 Posted July 4, 2024 Author Solution Posted July 4, 2024 I got it sorted now. Uninstalled Embycon and used Emby for Kodi instead. And found "MUMC", a fork of media_cleaner that is still supported.
