ChrisKent 1 Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Hi, I am trying to upgrade from my QNAP Server version 4.7.11.0 to the latest, 4.8.8.0, but this fails to start, get error in the browser. I even tried a few 4.8 versions and they all fail to show the Web interface, I just see the Embly logo, versions tested and failed include 4.8.0.80, 4.8.3.0 and 4.8.8.0 (the latest stable release) Has anyone else had the same problem, or does anyone else use these versions? I have Intell QNAP TS-451 model NAS
Solution Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 26, 2024 Solution Posted June 26, 2024 There are a couple topics that required the NAS to be rebooted.
ChrisKent 1 Posted June 26, 2024 Author Posted June 26, 2024 Hi Luke and Happy2Play.... After re-installing, removing many versions of the Emby App and restarting the NAS Server a few times, I did get the latest version up and running. Unfortunately, I lost all the libraries, probably when I Removed the App from the Device in one of my attempts to get a version to display content in the browser. So I had to re-add all my media folders once 4.8.8.0 was running successfully. The result was that I should have simply upgraded to the latest version, which was an upgrade from version 4.7.11.0 to 4.8.8.0 and possibly rebooted the NAS Server (A restart of the Emby App was not enough) for it to work. Thanks guys for your help. 1
denisj 2 Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 I confirm this... upgrade at 4.8 and then black screen on Chrome (Embly logo on firefox) I then restart my Qnap (TVS882) and then all ok. (this was just for info) Denis
