First off this is a new install. First time Emby user. I really love it so far. Had features plex didn't have and client support is waaay better than Jellyfin.

Its running off TrueNAS scale 23.10.0

2 x RAIDZ2 | 6 wide.

Emby Version 4.8.8.0

Is it normal for this to take forever on media library scans for first time discoveries? I just did one folder of about 1400 movies. The scans in scheduled tasks dashboard has moved from 0-29% in the last 12hrs lol. I know its not accurate because I can visually see the data present and when viewing the libraries its showing 98% which is more accurate.

I'm not concerned about waiting. Just wanting to confirm if there something wrong on my end performance wise? I know I shouldn't compare between other players. But this is at least 5x longer scans then Plex or Jellyfin than I'm used too.

I have about 40TB worth of movies, shows, animated movies and anime.

I did disable real time monitoring.

It looks like you might have enabled chapter images, for a first time load yes this will take a while.

Yup that did it lol. I stopped the scan. Disabled chapter images and started up again. Its now ticking 1% every few minutes.
