frankie64 9 Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Is there a way to turn this off for all accounts?
GrimReaper 4740 Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 No, that is per-user setting, tbh don't remember what is the default state, enabled or disabled. In any case, you cannot make it system wide by single toggle, you'd need (as admin) to Edit each user preferences and disable it.
frankie64 9 Posted June 8, 2024 Author Posted June 8, 2024 By default it is on, i have users who have a firestick hooked up to their tv for example and turn off the tv and episodes continue to stream in the background lol....
frankie64 9 Posted June 8, 2024 Author Posted June 8, 2024 AS far as I can tell there is no way to set this for a user except to login to their account, it is not a setting I can see when I edit the user.

I honestly did not realize that this was a link, lol, being in IT for 45 years you would think I would.... 1
GrimReaper 4740 Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Happens to all of us, I've had a fair share of "bright as mud" moments of my own as well...
Neminem 1519 Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 I advice my user to use a power rail with a master out led connected to there TV. Then when turning of the TV everything connected is powered off. That will also contribute to a lower power bill. Standby device sugs your wallet dry
