Teddy 100 Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 My question is if coverart can modify the custom covers that I have in my directories. For example, I have a directory called Batman (1989), where the movie Batman (1989) and the custom cover Batman (1989) are located. I have tried to have coverart modify that cover to add, for example, 4K in one corner or the type of codec in another corner, using treatments, indicator overlays from coverart, but nothing works with my custom covers. It does work with movies that are not in their own directory and that emby downloads the cover from the internet. So, cover art doesn't work with custom covers? Or am I doing something wrong?
Luke 42077 Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 hi, cover art only works with the image that is set in Emby for any given item. Is that what you're asking?
Teddy 100 Posted June 7, 2024 Author Posted June 7, 2024 I don't think that's exactly what I'm asking. For example, the movie "The Thing" is in a directory with all the images, including the custom folder that I added with the same name as the movie so that Emby can use that image. But for the movie "Nefarious", since it is not in any directory of its own, Emby gets a cover that I can handle and modify with coverart. Is it possible that coverart only handles covers that have the generic name "cover"?
Solution Luke 42077 Posted June 8, 2024 Solution Posted June 8, 2024 Quote Is it possible that coverart only handles covers that have the generic name "cover"? Hi, no, coverart doesn't look at the file name. It handles whatever image is assigned in Emby. You could put an image file next to the nefarious video with the same name as the video file, if you want.
