Newman909 6 Posted July 30 Posted July 30 It's almost August. Back in March, the expectation was that this would be nearly finished, right @Luke Since I’ve been waiting a long time with no visible progress, I’m going to explore the Docker route I guess. 2
JamieTrottter 3 Posted August 14 Posted August 14 (edited) Another new Ugreen convert here, patiently waiting for a native app for my 4800 Pro. I had no choice but to abandon Synology once they stopped supporting hardware trancoding. Edited August 14 by JamieTrottter 2 1
Ron 6 Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Mine is now running... made some mistakes with the folder definitions in the docker container, but figured it out in the end. The ugreen is so much smoother and reactive! Hardware makes a difference. Also using my old NVMEs as a volume now instead of cache becuase I can and Emby server lives there. But still waiting to switch back to a native install! 1 1

Chris0248 3 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Nothing for at least another 6 to 12 months. Seriously considering dropping UGOS and switching to TrueNAS.

I know they claim that there’ll be a native app but as I explained before, they’d have the first and only actually native third party app on UGOS then. All existing ones are Docker installations in the background. And docker runs like a charm
TrickyThomski 0 Posted 21 minutes ago Posted 21 minutes ago Well that sucks. This is where you tell me the letter is 6 to 12 months old
