Use emby to play local music using emby app

Is it possible to play local downloaded music from the emby app on an Android phone? 

If not... Can I host an emby server from my phone and play the local downloaded music from the same phone? 

I'll be off grid, is there an easy solution using emby? or should I just download and pay for something like poweramp android app?

HI, yes it is.

And yes, installing the full server is also possible if you wish.

How can someone go about doing that? 

Would I download the music to my home server from my phone, have it populate in the server, then "download" it on the Android emby app? 

The server would still need to be used while accessing offline on the phone, correct? 

I'm sorry if this is rudimentary, I just am grasping at straws to stay with emby as I like the interface.

The easiest and most common way is to use Emby Server on your home PC/NAS or other server machine, and use the Emby app on your phone.

From there, you can download audio and video files to the device, and you can play them without being connected to your Emby Server. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
