Transcoding Question

I’ve just switched over to using Kodi as my media center for my tv and I notice in my emby settings it’s not allowing transcoding it just plays the mkv file are there settings I need to enable to allow for transcoding of my media

Hey,

so everything has transcoded before so I thought that was the norm I also find it’s easier on my cpu without transcoding

...and playback should also faster initiate. Transcode would be configured in the plugin settings, but as Luke mentioned. Keep it disabled.

It's only required for incompatible media streams or bandwidth limitations
