Bvaring 2 Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 I have had this problem before - topic 124867 and don't what fixed it. Emby connect is not working for me. I try to login at http://app.emby.media. It shows my Emby Server but says, "Unable to reach" when I try to connect. I'm attaching a print of the page showing my network settings. Are they correct? I have even turned off Windows Firewall completely off. Please help. Network.pdf
Bvaring 2 Posted April 1, 2024 Author Posted April 1, 2024 Is it possible my Emby Premiere account is blocked and not allowing me to connect. I can't using my local address when I try to add it at http://app,emby.meda. But that address works if I type it into the browser. All I get is unable to reach server not matter if I use local or wan IP address at home or away. How do I get Emby connect to start back seeing the server. I know only pay 5 bucks but I wish I get a litlte more info - i mean it shows the server so it I guess - if it didn't it wouldn't show a server at all when you login at http://app.emby.media, right?
Happy2Play 9782 Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 Why do you what to use your local address with Connect? Why not just connect to that local address? Connect will require Remote access to be enabled. Have you verified Remote access work without Connect?
Bvaring 2 Posted April 1, 2024 Author Posted April 1, 2024 If changed my port to 8080 and I can connect remotely justing typing in the URL. But it doesn't work at http://app.emby.media or in the app. I have no forwarded ports and automatic port forwarding is not turned. How I am I reaching the server if Emby Connect claims to be able to connect at this time. Something is not right it seems. Also, I might not always know my WAN IP. I am going take off Emby Premeire info from the server and see if I can still connect with the URL/IP without Emby connect as I am now. I'm greatful if you can clear this up.
Happy2Play 9782 Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 Premiere has nothing to do with Connect. But if you click the three dot menu on the server card and view server info is it correct?
Solution Happy2Play 9782 Posted April 1, 2024 Solution Posted April 1, 2024 Now if the wrong information is shown that would suggest your server is not talking to Connect and would have errors in your server log. But you could try removing your Connect Username from the local user, hit save, then readd Connect Username and hit save to see if the server info gets updated. 1
Bvaring 2 Posted April 1, 2024 Author Posted April 1, 2024 Yes, the information is correct. It shows LAN and WAN IP addresses. I just tried remotely on my phone and it works. This has happened a few times. I wonder what changes to make it stop working? All I did was do a completely fresh install. 21 minutes ago, Happy2Play said: Now if the wrong information is shown that would suggest your server is not talking to Connect and would have errors in your server log.
