Music Compilation albums

Hi

Just want to know the best way to handle compilation albums when added them

As i am getting a album for each song as its labelled with the artist rather then the compilation title

therefore it looks like i have added 12 albums rather than just the 1

Make sure your "Album" and "Album Artist" embedded metadata is the same for all tracks of a compilation album, as stated by Emby here:

You can use a tool such as MP3Tag (or similar) to do this.

Tip: Remember to check all Extended Tags if you use MP3Tag, as sometimes "Album Artist" and "AlbumArtist" tags can cause problems if both are present and both are different from each other.

Yes, I downloaded the MP3Tag software, and I am now able to reduce my album and artist count down by 1000s
