Dhty617 0 Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 Now when I add a new movie to the media library, Emby will scan the metadata of all the movies and re-download the nfo file. How can I set it up so that Emby can only scrape the metadata of the newly added movies?

Happy2Play 9782 Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 Still don't follow as Emby will only reread an existing nfo if there has been a change to is. Are you saying your modified date is changing on all your items?
Solution Neminem 1519 Posted February 17, 2024 Solution Posted February 17, 2024 (edited) Are you using Radarr or any other automation for you movies ? That could alter your nfo files ? Edited February 17, 2024 by jaycedk Spelling
Luke 42080 Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 Hi, what makes you think that Emby is rescanning every movie? a normal library scan should do exactly what you are looking for.

I mapped the network disk to a disk through software. I saw in the software console that Emby was repeatedly downloading the nfo file.
Dhty617 0 Posted February 19, 2024 Author Posted February 19, 2024 All I want to see is how your Emby media library is set up, it bothers me that each scan takes a ton of time
