fireplex 12 Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 (edited) Hi, New user here looking at switching from Plex. Quick question, is it possible with user accounts to not request a password when accessing the server locally (eg. using a FireTV stick) but to force one when accessing remotely (eg. using an Android mobile phone)? Note that I am running emby in a docker together with a reverse proxy provided by swag, all under unRAID. Thanks Edited February 12, 2024 by fireplex Add reverse proxy info

Yes, as login process has been revamped, there's no more distinction between local and remote connections for login purposes, passwords are stored on the devices now and require entering it at least once after which you can require it each time, not require it or it optionally protect it with pin.
fireplex 12 Posted February 12, 2024 Author Posted February 12, 2024 Ooh, that's great. I had set no password so local users didn't need to enter one but obviously that left my server wide open remotely. Will look at this, cheers 1
