auspex 0 Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 I have episodes of "Doctor Who (2005)" and the original series "Doctor Who" in separate folders, but they all show as "Doctor Who (2005)" — even season 26 of the original series, and the new series only goes to season 14! Season 1 of the new series has 13 episodes. Season 1 of the old series has 42. Emby correctly shows me the correct episodes of the new series, then episodes 14-42 of the old series following them, and with no metadata. So, how can I make Emby treat them as separate shows?

Solution GrimReaper 4742 Posted January 24, 2024 Solution Posted January 24, 2024 Name series folders: Doctor Who (1963) [tvdbid=76107] Doctor Who (2005) [tvdbid=78804] Scan media library. 1
darkassassin07 652 Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Even just with the years added works (that's how mine are arranged), but adding the tvdb ids couldn't hurt.
auspex 0 Posted January 24, 2024 Author Posted January 24, 2024 "Doctor Who (2005)" was always there, the original is identified in Sonarr as just "Doctor Who", but I had tried adding the year with no success. So, I renamed with the TVDBID, and now it looks like it's slowly getting things right. It seemed to have finished scanning, but every time I refresh I see a higher episode count so I guess it's still working. Thanks, guys! I had no idea about adding the TVDB id in the folder name.
