Help with Android app login

Greetings.  I'm new to Emby; so far so good, except...

Windows 11 Emby server Version 4.7.14.0 on Chrome browser works great,

Amazon FireTv - client works great,

LG TV WebOS - Client works great,

Samsung Android tablet - Client works great, but

Samsung S23 Android phone - Client starts with screen "Sign in with Connect",  doesn't list accounts like the three other clients, can't connect to the server by name or ip address and port listed in the server's dashboard.

How can I troubleshoot?

Hi Luke.  I get an 'Error Connecting to Server' message in a little popup.  I'm sure I entered the correct ip address and port.

Hy bro maybe you are use the vpn close the vpn and try again

I have NordVPN and McAfee - both were off.  The clients that are working would most likely have been affected.  Thanks Umar.

How exactly did you try to connect? Did you enter the server address manually, and if so, what did you enter? Are you sure it's the correct address? Where did you get it from?

Is the phone on your local wifi?

 

I once unwittingly had wifi off on my phone and Emby reminded me when I tried to login from the T-Mobile outside IP address.

Check flight mode, if on turn it off.

From the picture, looks like you are on a VPN, the little key icon near the WiFi icon indicates you are.  Disconnect and you should be able to see your local LAN server.

I tested my VPN and the same icon show's up when on VPN.

Un-installed everything Emby, restarted phone, re-installed Emby for Android from Google Play. It now works as expected!  Thanks to all for your interest and suggestions.  This is a very helpful community.
