You are completely right, it is not working. Misleading conclusion from my side, because before it was muted and now it is transcoding.  So the issue remains..

It is not working without transcoding on Emby or Plex, but works on Kodi.

I'm using this demo as reference.

Hi,

First, sorry for my bad english !  But, i found a temporary solution !

- Fire Cube 3rg Gen connected to Denon receiver

 

When playing a video (original dvd file) 480i / DTS 5.1 the audio file is playing, but the video freeze for some seconds, play again and freeze again.  No audio freeze.

What i did is : (when playing the video) click on the gear icon and change the video (originally 480 5mbps) to 480 1mbps.  And then, click again on the gear icon to Auto.

The video and audio are now playing normally 5mbps and DTS 5.1 without freeze.

 

No problem when using an external player like VLC

No problem with PLEX

No problem when I convert the audio to Opus 5.1

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

I don't get audio when playing DTS HD-MA either on my Fire Stick 4K Max. (The newest gen, with Wifi6E)

Not with 3.5.29 or 2.1.36

Yes, it even has two of them, (maybe one is DTS and one is DTS-HD according to the text below option, both are checked

Yes, that gave sound with (software decode) in nerd info instead of (direct)
