EMBY MUSIC: Playback Error

Recommended Posts

Hi,Ā

Probably Luke will pick up this topic - as usually :D

For some unknown reason, I have quite a few "broken" tracks... What I usually do is save the name of the broken track and re-download it.Ā For now, there is no way to spot a file that is not working.Ā

Is there any way that Emby can flag broken tracks? A small icon e.g. (!)Ā  after field play would do.

Please, Please ā¤ļøĀ

Hi Luke,

Ā

i dont have problem with playing files. But some of my files are damaged for some reason - none of the players can play these tracks, to clarify.Ā

Ā

I have broken maybe 1% of files so it's not so that bad, but from time to time player stops playing because of that.Ā

Ā

Post is to add feature Ā ā€œauto skip damaged files and flag itā€Ā

I hope now it's more clear

Ā

Cheers Ā

OK i agree in principle with the idea it's just that it's not so simple detect a damaged file vs other kinds of playback errors.

When ->Ā  "playback error" message appears -> mark the file on the playlist?Ā

I'm not sure how this is going with "other kind of playback errors" because I never had them.Ā

Fingers crossed you will find a solution :)

CheersĀ

Right the problem is that a playback error on one device may not occur on another.Ā

I hope you will figure out something ā¤ļøĀ this would be very helpful for me and many other Emby users. I think it's a good step forward to make Emby ultimate app ā¤ļøĀ
