For reasons unknown the subtitles do not render correctly for this file. When first beginning streaming, they are squares, and after playing the video for maybe 30 seconds, appear as individual characters. This seems like a consequence of extracting subtitles/repackaging because this doesn't happen on my nvidia shield TV nor does it happen when playing the file independent of emby on something like MPCHC. If I disable subtitle extraction, this file refuses to play at all on Emby Theater for Windows/Browser/Android app.

I have attached the transcode logs for both cases (sub extraction on, off). In both cases emby was trying to direct stream the mkv container. I have noticed ffmpeg or libass fails to read the file name/Japanese text at all and outputs gibberish in the logs which is strange.

This "failing to play" issue occurs on many of my other videos, which have similar ASS style subtitles using JP or KO fonts, but this one is the most egregious. Please let me know if you need more info. It is odd that Emby cannot simply use embedded fonts in mkv containers, but that may be another issue.

Apologies for the delay. This should be resolved in the next update to our apps and server. Thanks.
