WarrenH 16 Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Probably a stupid question but I'm just not seeing the answer. My PC has 2 Windows 8.1 User Accounts (User1 and User2). I have successfully installed MB3 Server and Classic on User1. I have configured Server to include both users. User2 Media Centre shows MB3 Classic, but as the Server is obviously not installed / running for this user, they're unable to access the media libraries. How are they able to access Classic. Do I need to install server on their account, or what are my alternatives. Thanks in advance.
Solution ScottIsAFool 517 Posted October 19, 2013 Solution Posted October 19, 2013 Is the server running as a service? If so, the other user should be able to access it. 1

WarrenH 16 Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 Thanks guys - where do I find the setting for running it as a service, I can't find any mention in the tutorial pages for Server or Classic. Server runs automatically when User1 logs in, it runs in the taskbar. It doesn't run when User2 logs in. Nb, User2 is on a limited "Child" account under Microsoft Family Safety.
ebr 16169 Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Turn off running the server automatically at log-in and shut down the server. Then just go into Windows services and configure the Media Browser service as you wish - when to start, who to run as, etc. and start it up.
