strugglez 8 Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 (edited) Hey, I don't know if this has been posted or not, but I think this is a bug/issue that probably needs to be fixed. I have a rather large music collection and have started using the Music side of it, and quickly stumbled across a problem. When a track is selected via MB3, it plays, but as soon as the track ends, and go to play the same track over, it only plays the last 3 or 4 seconds of the track. I have to manually press the Back track button for it to start over again or alternatively hit the "play all" tab. I've also noticed that I can't use the remote functions or functions (fast forward/rewind etc...) via the keyboard either, is their a solution to any of this? If not, eitherway, Thanks in advance. MB3 keeps surprising me with what it can offer. Edited October 19, 2013 by strugglez
ebr 16169 Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Sounds like music is resuming and it probably shouldn't but you should be able to fix it by adjusting the min resume duration under client settings in the dashboard. Was the track you played over 5min long?
strugglez 8 Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 I have just trialled in regards to what you have told me to try, I adjusted the following: Min resume percentage to be 0. Max resume percentage to be 1. I am assuming that if that was the issue at hand, those would be the settings I would need to change it to, but I have also tried others and still had no luck. I believe this problem I am having is not associated with this. If it is possible, could you try and experiment with your music collection. I seem to be having this problem regardless of any track or album. I have been testing with a 12 second track (an intro track) but it also gives me the problem with any other track.
ebr 16169 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I said to adjust the min resume duration not pct. You don't want those values you put in the min/max resume pct so change them back to something reasonable like 5 and 90. Also note that it is in seconds and you would want to increase it.
Solution strugglez 8 Posted October 20, 2013 Author Solution Posted October 20, 2013 I think you are misunderstanding me here, as correct me if I am wrong I understand the "Min resume duration" to be as, anything under the set figure will not resume and will start over again from start. 300 seconds being 5 minutes. The tracks in question are less than 5 minutes (the one I was testing was 12 seconds) and will not play from the start regardless. In me increasing that figure would only mean to say longer tracks will not resume unless if passes that exceeded time. The problem I have is any track in general, will not play again once it's ended. If I choose to select that track again it will only seem to play the last couple of seconds from it. The "play all" function is the only way I can get the tracks to play in full (beginning of each track). I think I explained my self better this time. Sorry. 1
ebr 16169 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Ah, okay, I'm sorry. I'll look and see if I can figure out what is going on. Do be sure to set your resume % values back though as that will affect everything.
ebr 16169 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Okay, I found it. Will be fixed next release.
