Misinthe 46 Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Good evening, I just have a question, can I use the Emby Premiere Key on multiple servers at the same time? I building/deploying a new Media Server and I want it to run in tandem with my old one until the new one is ready to take over, so this means I would still be using my Premiere on the old one to view while I finish setting up the new one, which will also have my Premiere Key to do the Restore/Setup. Thanks in advance!

Yes, in as many servers that you like; note that devices limit is cumulative from all servers, so you might reach it at some point. 1

ebr 16184 Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Hi. More info: Is there a limit to Emby Premiere?
Nat Hill remote 8 Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Every village needs a moron to ask simple questions, and I'm getting better at that every day. I would like to install a separate server for my wife on her computer. That way she can have her list of favorite channels and her own recordings. I'm not smart enough to accomplish that by establishing her as a separate user on my server. Drives are so cheap now that seems to be a much more reasonable approach. I ASSUME? with my Emby Premiere I'm OK as long as we only have 25 devices between us. I think she will have one and I will have about six. Have I got that right?

I would not do that as I would not want two separate servers carrying independent content. I have two servers but they both look at the same content and one is running the release server while the other is running the beta. I also do not have a wife and the only other entity I have to please is my dog and he watches some programs with me. I do not allow him any access to keyboards or remotes. I lost a Roku remote, kind of shaped like a chew toy, to him but is was the slobber not the teeth that ruined it, he has a very gentile mouth.
