Synology DSM7.2 update

Hello to all, i own a Synology Nas DS920+ with Emby premiere license, the latest DSM7.2 update notice states the below notification:

Note: Starting from this version, AME will no longer support Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) transcoding. The available functions and playback capability will depend on the support of the end device.

my movies have a multichannel AAC audio track that Emby usually transcodes to AC3 to be able to enjoy Dolby digital surround sound on my home theater, will this update disable this feature?

Hi, you shouldn’t be impacted as everything needed for this is embedded within Emby server.

Thanks Luke, after the DSM7.2 update emby needed an update as well and is working fine with no effect as you said, thanks again.
