Movie library not updating anymore - AGAIN after solving for some days

I have a long story with the issue that the Movie library of Emby is not updating anymore (Series always working fine).

I found a solution in my original post (Creating a separate Share for movies on Unraid):

 Now it is again, not working anymore. I copied my movies into the new movie folder which was working. After copying around 1,5TB/2TB Emby again did not recognize new movies.

Now I setup a new EmbyServer again, and I added 2 Shares:

/mnt/user/Filme -> is the Movie share which originally worked including 1,5-2TB Movies

/mnt/user/Filmetest -> Testfolder with only 1 Movie

Result: The movie within folder /mnt/user/Filmetest is found and added to library but the movies within the normal movie folder /mnt/user/Filme not.

Setting are exactly the same.

Hi.  This looks like a file system permissions problem:
 

	System.UnauthorizedAccessException: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/mnt/user/Filme/Der.Mann.mit.zwei.Gehirnen.1983.GERMAN.DL.AC3D.1080p.BluRay.x264' is denied.
	 ---> System.IO.IOException: Permission denied

Thanks for the reply. There are two movie folders with this permission. I will fix it but this should not be the general issue.

fixed the permission and still not working.

Only Testfolder (/mnt/user/Filmetest -> Testfolder with only 1 Movie) is working. Also with 2 movies now. I copied the movie with the permission issues there and fixed the permissions.

 

Emby seems to have an issue with Movies which are located in shares with subfolders and also total size >=~ 1,5TB... At least on my system...

/mnt/user/Filmetest --> Testfolder with only 2 Movies --> working

/mnt/user/Filme --> Worked well again until ~1,5TB copied, than stopped synchronizing again. Reinstalled emby docker, added this path, no movie at all found.

/mnt/user/Daten/Filme --> Original folder where the issues first started. It stopped synchronizing but old movies where in. After reinstalling emby also no movie found.

 

Makes no sense to me

Can we please see a new log? 

If it is really tied to size then I suspect something at the file system level going on here.

holy shit this is the issue also the original issue I faced.

If Emby cannot access one folder movie it stops the whole scan and no movies are added!

This also explains why, in my old setting, the old movies were still in and no new were added.

I recreated two movie folders which were facing the issues and the scan now runs again. Will keep an eye on the logfile if issues reoccur.
