Newly released media (TVDB) not containing descriptions

Hello!

I currently have a few series which do not (currently) have descriptions. I notice that the earlier episodes this was happened for now DO have descriptions, so I'm wondering if it automatically detects when TVDB populates that data and then downloads it, or if it's a thing that happens on import of a new episode.

I saw a setting in the library settings "After the initial import, automatically refresh metadata from the internet" does this feature refresh metadata for every episode? or does it search for missing metadata? I just don't want to manually do this for every currently releasing series I have, and I would rather not start a task to replace every series metadata in the library every 30-90 days.

For 4.7+ stable, that is the only way currently. 4.8+ will bring some improvements in that respect.

You can just Refresh Metadata>Search for missing on Library and/or Series level.

For 4.7+ stable, that is the only way currently. 4.8+ will bring some improvements in that respect.

Thank you for the quick reply! I guess it's not such a big deal, I am actively watching most of the currently releasing episodes, hopefully 4.8 will make this less of an issue. Thanks again!

Ahhh, yeah the 4.8 feature does look like it would  be exactly what I'm looking for. I'll have a look at the plugin and see if that can make it easier on me until 4.8 gets pushed to stable. Thanks again!
