gnollo 17 Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 I followed the tutorial below, then went into the settings of unraid to change the ports it was listening to, I must have done something wrong as after changing the ports I cannot connect to the emby docker any longer when choosing webui as an option for the unraid server docker I am using. Is there another way to connect to the webui? I am stumped and now cannot connect to emby any longer.
Neminem 1518 Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 Did you change the port in docker config or emby ? If docker config try to connect with the new port.

gnollo 17 Posted May 3, 2023 Author Posted May 3, 2023 But I cannot connect to emby anymore so how do I check what I changed exactly? I did not change the docker ports, only in the lan settings once I logged into emby

gnollo 17 Posted May 3, 2023 Author Posted May 3, 2023 The docker is not showing the changes, I cannot see a network section there. I made those changes logging in emby and going to settings. Any way I can change the settings to default through the docker? Like a reset button?

But in your first post you said you "went into the settings of unraid". What exactly did you do?
Solution seanbuff 1316 Posted May 3, 2023 Solution Posted May 3, 2023 3 hours ago, gnollo said: only in the lan settings once I logged into emby If you indeed changed Emby's local ports, and they no longer match your Docker's configured listening port Assuming you know how to edit text files in linux (using vi, etc) - you may need to manually edit the following lines in: /Emby-Server/programdata/config/system.xml <HttpServerPortNumber>8096</HttpServerPortNumber> <HttpsPortNumber>8920</HttpsPortNumber> Otherwise, just change your Docker ports to match what you changed them to in Emby. 1
gnollo 17 Posted May 4, 2023 Author Posted May 4, 2023 I am using windows to connect to Tower, I can find the following directory \\tower\appdata\embyserver it has no programdata folder in it, but it has a \config\system.xml in it I found the following <HttpServerPortNumber>180</HttpServerPortNumber> <HttpsPortNumber>1443</HttpsPortNumber> Can I edit those in notepad via Windows and save them that way? I am not an Linux expert I am afraid, only a user... I tried to change the docker port to 180 but it failed saying it is already in use.
gnollo 17 Posted May 4, 2023 Author Posted May 4, 2023 manually changed it via notepad to the ports above, it worked thank you seanbuff! 1 1
gnollo 17 Posted May 4, 2023 Author Posted May 4, 2023 Got emby + swag + duckdns to work thanks to the original guide above, and help in the final steps in the guide below https://forums.unraid.net/topic/101969-guide-setup-emby-with-hw-transcoding-on-unraid-remote-access-through-reverse-proxy-using-swag/ Thank you Spaceinvader One and Mik3! 2 1
