Subfolders not acted on for Scheduled Thumbnail extract

So this may be "normal" but it was a surprise to me, so I thought I'd share.

I have a Library that contains two libraries;

E:\HDHR which contains E:\HDHR\TV and E:\HDHR\Movies

I have them all set to extract thumbnails, but was not getting them on the movies nor TV programs in the 'subfolder' libraries. I removed the E:\HDHR "parent folder" library, leaving the two "subfolder" libraries (now each as stand-alone libraries), and the thumbnails generated as expected.

Not sure why if a library is contained within a library it would not be acted upon, but there you go.

Note - the only reason I had done it that way was everything in these libraries was duplicates as I experiment with a new tuner device, and wanted to limit how much real estate it was taking on the "home" screen. Not really a big deal, but not getting the thumbnails was an unexpected outcome for me.

Thanks again for Emby!

Is that a library with 2 folders or you used those same folders for two separate libraries?

So on Windows file system, it is a folder with two subfolders. In Emby, I had all 3 defined as Libraries. So from Emby, I suppose, it was two Libraries within a Library.

It would appear to me that the Thumbnail extraction was only 'seeing' the E:\HDHR library, and not the two within it. Perhaps there concept of a "library within a library" is totally out of bounds.... ;)

Correct. Currently library within a library - library which has a path that is subset of another library path - is not supported, library paths must be at least same-level folders.
