tdiguy 99 Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 So, I am thinking about changing my emby server out again. I have seen it posted that rpi4's support h265 hardware acceleration. Between that and most of the devices connecting having hardware support for h265 it means I'm my environment there is likely to be little need for much processing power. My only question is does emby / ffmpeg that emby uses, have everything needed to do hardware acceleration on a rpi4? I might soon switch out my whole media system, household firewall and home automation to run on a rpi4 and a rpi3 ( for redundancy) the 3 I don't think will work well for emby though.
Solution Luke 42078 Posted May 2, 2023 Solution Posted May 2, 2023 Hi, yes, hardware acceleration is supported on RPI4.
