Should Emby DVR save recordings into several .ts files

My Setup:

1. Server: NVidia Shield TV
2. Client: Also NVidia Shield TV
3. Tuner : HDHomeRun Flex 4K
4. 2TB Hard Drive for DVR as an external storage, always powered on
5. Wired ethernet connection for both NVidia & HDHomerun 

For some reason the recording are split into many .ts files (see attached picture). Is this expected?

Please ignore my post, I had a bad hard drive. After replacing the HD the files do not split.
