ptrotary 1 Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 (edited) So in my particular case, I had Sonarr download the original Shaman King show as well as the re-released Shaman King (2021). Emby is only displaying Shaman King (2021) but will not show the original Shaman King. Each show is in its respective folder: .../media/tv/Shaman King and .../media/tv/Shaman King (2021). Any idea what could be causing this? Edited to add: I am running Emby server in Docker on a Synology NAS, version 4.7.10.0. My clients are AppleTV, iPads and iPhones, all on the latest App Store released version. Edited March 20, 2023 by ptrotary
Solution GrimReaper 4740 Posted March 20, 2023 Solution Posted March 20, 2023 They are likely merged into single series. Disable Automatically merge series spread accross multiple folders in Library settings and then Identify incorrectly identified one OR Name series folders as Shaman King (2001) [tvdbid=79857] Shaman King (2021) [tvdbid=383837] Rescan.
Neminem 1519 Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 You can add show tvbdid in sonarr's naming convention.
ptrotary 1 Posted March 20, 2023 Author Posted March 20, 2023 Thank you both for your tips! Resolved. 1
Happy2Play 9780 Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 Yes when same named show potentially be merged even when they have differing years you have options of modifying names as above or temporary disabling "Automatically merge series that are spread across multiple folders" (personally leave disable as I won't separate shows in that way), scan, reidentify the show that was wrongly identified and reenable library option if need.
