Chiefmas 40 Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 Is it possible to disable browser shortcuts? Really, I only care about one, control-t, which is the shortcut to open a new tab in basically every browser. So I'm constantly accidentally sending Emby to live TV- I'd actually been noticing it for the last few weeks, but I just now figured out what was going on. Thanks!
Solution Luke 42077 Posted March 24, 2023 Solution Posted March 24, 2023 Hi, we'll just stop overriding this one. No need for an option. Thanks.
luser 37 Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 Can you please remove CTRL + R too? It's so annoying when Emby, or other web apps, hijack these common keyboard shortcuts.

winstream 2 Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 Please add the option to disable shortcuts (if customization of shortcuts requires too much work). It is very annoying. For example, `Ctrl+Alt+S` hijacks it from a browser extension - and it does not even offer something useful. It just ruins current page and display empty "Search" label without any functionality. Neither it does something, nor it focuses the search input. Emby 4.9.1.80 1
winstream 2 Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 Another example of unsolicited shortcut (Ctrl+Alt+O):
winstream 2 Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 (edited) And there's unsolicited mouse gestures too. On all web sites, double click selects the clicked text. Emby hijacks that to toggle Full Screen. This happens when you try do copy title of a collection or a media Is there a setting to turn that off? Edited October 15, 2025 by winstream
