Configuring ffmpeg for transcode?

Hi Team!

I have a little problem with the transcoding.

First of all: thank you for this amazing software.

During playback on a webos TV, when I select bandwidth limitation, in "stats for nerds" it still shows direct play.

(But when checking in my router, the setting actually works - this is just a small notice. My Emby on the TV just have updated to latest version).

 

So, I wish to know if I can somehow change the ffmpeg arguments during transcode. Being far from the Linux server with no HW transcode capabilities, I wish to try some other ffmpeg configurations which might work better on my network.

 

Also a bit off: can I utilize USB graphics cards for HW transcode? Anyone has experience with it?

Like CBR/VBR, preset, buffer size, probesize, etc, I don't really know as of know I just wanted to ask if it is at all possible.

If you really want to, the diagnostics plugin has a search and replace feature that you can use to change the ffmpeg command line.
