HomeAssistant integration - entity cleanup

I have integrated Emby with Home Assistant using the default HA integration.

Emby keeps exposing entities that make little sense to me or exposes new versions of existing entities.

In Home Assistant, I have three versions of media_player.emby_sony_cast_tv , but only media_player.emby_sony_cast_tv_2 seems to be active in my automations.

I also have 12 versions of media_player.emby_homeassistant and really do not understand what this is for or why this exists.

Is it possible to clean all these up in Emby? I cannot find anything in the server settings to sort this out. This only useful entity to me is the sony_cast entity as I use it to control my lights.

Hi, Emby doesn't create these. It is the HA integration that is doing that. That is not built by us, but I think you'll have to manage those from there.

I'll try again there and see what's up and report back.

I found them in the HA config core registry file and have just removed them. Hopefully , they don't come back.

They will 😆 - nothing you can really do about it but ignore them.

The problem isnt so much the entities but sometimes a new one is created and then my automation doesn't have the correct entity id.
