HumanPanda 6 Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 (edited) For whatever reason the case of my file changed from when it was initially scanned in and what it is currently. The rest of the filename is exactly the same. It seems like Emby does not detect case changes and a change in the filename since it doesn't automatically remove and rescan it in after the filename has been changed. Is there a way to force it to use the new filename? For example Show - S01E01 - This Is The Episode Name to Show - S01E01 - This is the Episode Name When playing the episode now, it errors out because the file does not exist when it does just under a different case. I would have expected Emby to at least treat it like a deletion of the old file and an addition of the new file. Force a rescan of Library does not fix it either. Solution Luke 42078 Posted January 20, 2023 Solution Posted January 20, 2023 Hi, yes there might be an issue with this. What I would probably suggest is moving the file out of the library altogether. Then run a full library scan to clear it out of the database, and then add it back.
HumanPanda 6 Posted January 23, 2023 Author Posted January 23, 2023 Thanks that did the trick. It even kept the original date added I think and I am guessing view status for users as well. Any plans on fixing the issue? The only thing is I am not sure how many files are affected until I encounter an error.
