Auto update for Android Mobile apk

I have now gone over to Android Mobile from Android TV and it's working really nicely.

I wondered if there are any plans to create an auto update for sideloaded APKs? Would make life a lot easier. I have other sideloaded apps that do this, which is a god send as I don't need to go through an arduous process of manual updating (I have three devices).

Alternatively, what is the prognosis for getting Android mobile in the TV playstore instead?

This is an interesting discussion. I was also looking into how Android APK updates work for apps installed outside the Play Store, especially when managing multiple devices. I found some related information here: https://inshotproapk.net/ . Would a store-based update system be able to recognize and update an existing sideloaded installation, or would users still need to reinstall it?

on Android it's trivial. I have my own made Emby Music Player app with built in updater and signed key for release.

I like running the beta app but I'm always have to look for a new update and do it manually.
