NavyGuy81 2 Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 I have an old gaming computer running docker services for everything and it also runs the Emby server application. Yesterday my NAS had an issue and I ended up having to blast it's configuration and lost all of my media. I was able to set everything back up for my media downloaders etc but when it comes to Emby I'm having an issue where it isn't displaying my media. As it stands, I have NFS sharing enabled on my NAS and I have mounted 2 directories on my server at /mnt/movies and /mnt/tvshows using fstab entries. I can see the directories on my server and my *arr apps can see and write to them as well. When I check permissions, I see that a user 1024 owns the files (I assume that is Sonarr via docker) and the group is users. I made sure to add emby to the users group. I have only downloaded 1 episode of a tv show to make sure I can get everything working before I download 20 more TB of media. I can see that it sees the episode in the logs but it doesn't show a TV library in the app or anywhere that I can see. I'm not sure where to go from here. I am attaching the most recent logs right after running a library scan. The only episode downloaded at the moment is S06E01 of Rick and Morty. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. embyserver(1).txt
Luke 42077 Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 Hi there, have you taken a look at this?
NavyGuy81 2 Posted December 11, 2022 Author Posted December 11, 2022 Yes I have. I have attempted to use setfacl in addition to the steps I have mentioned but I get "operation not supported". To complicate things, I had a movie download and it shows up in the Movies library and will play. Rick and Morty is even mentioned in the logs, I just don't understand why it won't show up in the library and I assume it's a file permissions issue but I have the same settings for my Movies share and it is currently working.
Solution NavyGuy81 2 Posted December 11, 2022 Author Solution Posted December 11, 2022 Ok so this is weird. I happened to be looking at a different user's profile and access settings. I noticed that the box for the tv show library was unchecked for this user. It didn't occur to me at the time but a few minutes ago I went and looked. I'm not sure how I did this but it became unchecked for all users. I checked the box and can now see and play everything at the moment. Apparently not a permissions issue at all. 1
