braddles69 7 Posted November 22, 2022 Author Posted November 22, 2022 (edited) Hi all, my modem/router died yesterday, so dug out the old Telstra gateway as a backup, have reconfigured and all is well except for port access to my Synology Emby server. I have local access to everything so that's fine. Running Emby 4.7.9 as per below, Network tab setup is identical across all Emby servers as below When trying to reach it from mobile (not on local network cellular only) using my Emby app, I only get the choice of my PC server (Windows) or my Laptop (Windows), not my Synology server (the shown IP address on the app is the same for both PC or Laptop, but no access to the Synology server Now, the PC that runs the emby server, is using the UPnP access, and I can remote access that, (it appears when using Emby Connect as well) and a laptop, as per the screenshot from Telstra gateway modem. as below I also can remote access my DSM frontend (which is on the Synology), seen here as DSM Mobile, all these are on the same port forwarding IP but can't figure out why I can't access my Emby server on the Synology (either through Emby Connect - doesn't show) or trying directly. Any suggestions? Following on from this, I made a new user for my Synology Emby Server, and signed in with this, and then when trying the mobile app, it now shows the Synology Server, but still won't get access in... braddles69 7 Posted November 22, 2022 Author Posted November 22, 2022 H Luke, yes Emby Connect was previously configured fine, I have a feeling that it is the Synology and router config pages that is limiting me, the Emby Connect works fine when I connect to my PC server from external, and the DSM Mobile is accessible but I think the new router is not letting me config the access ports on the Synology. Anyone had success with an old Telstra gateway 799VAC and Synology router config?
