Emby web server works via my custom domain using http port 8096, and I can access it externally, however, I want Emby serve from https on port 8920.

I am using Let's Encrypt SSL via the built-in Synology integration.

My router's port forwarding is set up the same way for 8096/8920. (Although, if I can get https to work, I would disable http). I think don't have any other web servers or ports running. Emby is the only service I want to external.

The Let's Encrypt cert is created at /usr/syno/etc/certificate/_archive/3CN4Sl and that's owned by root. Copying this cert and making it readable to Emby user doesn't seem to fix anything. I loaded cert.pem into the "Custom ssl certificate path" on the Network settings page and restart Emby but it only shows serving on http.

Not positive but believe it has to be a pfk cert.  Devs may need to see a server log also.

Path to a PKCS #12 file containing a certificate and private key to enable TLS support on a custom domain.

Solved, thank you!

I used

openssl pkcs12 -export -in fullchain.pem -inkey privkey.pem -out domain.pfx
