salvadordalisdad 8 Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Hi Guys, Sorry if this is an old question, it's new to me! I have been trying to find a use for the iPad2 since it was virtually bricked by the ios 9.3 update. It occurred to me a while ago that Emby would be an option, but I can't seem to load it "not compatible" says the software, as does every other DLNA client. I therefore have 2 options: 1. Ditch the damned thing & write off Apple as a bunch of shysters & scam artists, or 2. FInd some way of using Emby on it. Suggestions very welcome. Thanks in advance.
Solution salvadordalisdad 8 Posted November 18, 2022 Author Solution Posted November 18, 2022 OK, after some searching, jailbreak, cydia, etc., and not finding an answer... Of course, the Safari browser is painfully slow to operate (literally 30 seconds to load a web page - that's just deliberate and criminal coding) the emby web-front end works... Painfully slowly, but it eventually plays, takes forever to get to where you want & crashes the browser lots in the process, but - it plays the limited few items I've chosen so far. So well done to Emby for having a web front-end.
