Anything with aspect ratio 2:1 plays in the wrong aspect ratio

So basically I have a few episodes that have an aspect ratio of 2:1 encoded in them. I can pay them fine in my web browser, on my phone, even when streaming to my chromecast.
However, when I play those episodes on the Android TV emby app it starts playing in an incorrect aspect ratio (the height is too short). 

When I check the 'Zoom' settings it is set to normal. I am then able to fix it by setting it to 'Zoom' and then back to 'Normal' after which I have the correct aspect ratio again. 

So I am able to fix it but it is annoying to have to go through those steps every time I want to play one of those episodes, is this an existing issue?
